Perform welding repairs of piping, plant equipment, and other related machinery, including fabrication of skip buckets.
Carry out brazing and repair of damaged metal machine parts and components.
Use SMAW welding techniques for fabrication and pipework.
Conduct welding for manufacturing and modification of gangways, cradles, yard-related equipment, and sheet metal work.
Repair and modify Shiplift platform steel structure, traverser, gratings, and rails.
Ensure safe usage of company equipment and tools, maintaining adequate control on material wastage.
Maintain good working relationships with workers, foremen, supervisors, and management.
Perform duties as instructed by the foreman appointed for each project.
Verify materials meet required standards prior to use, and report damages as necessary.
Work within allocated timescales to meet departmental targets.
Attend any training required by the department.
Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
